FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long is the event?

The events are all one-day. The sessions will go from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.  The optional Asset Reliability Practitioner (ARP) Advocate exam will be conducted from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.

Will there be food and drinks provided?

There will be refreshments and snacks during a break.  There will be a 1-hour break provided for attendees to go off-site to get lunch on their own.

What will be included in the learning presentations at the event?

The presentations will be a review for the ARP Advocate course.  We recommend completing the learning materials and videos before the day of the event to enhance your learning experience. For those participating in the ARP Advocate exam, to earn your ARP Advocate Certification, you must successfully pass the exam, complete 16 hours of distance learning and meet the basic experience requirements; six months time spent in industry dealing with maintenance, reliability, engineering, operations, or management.

Who is hosting the event?

The event is produced by Mobius Institute and supported by our business partners: Allied Reliability, Infralogix, and Reliability Playbook.

Do I need to pay for the exam?

Yes, the exam is $275+ tax and is due upon registration for the event. You will be contacted after registering with a credit card billing form to complete and send back.

What is included in my registration?

Complimentary ARP Advocate distance learning course (valued at $1,500) which includes: ARP Advocate e-learning modules and quizzes. The JumpStart your Reliability Journey™ 1-day event will provide an overview of the course with the option to take the ARP Advocate exam*. 

Who should attend these events?

This course is important for those joining a reliability group at their plant, those thinking about starting a reliability program or individuals already working in a plant and wanting to understand reliability.

Is this program accredited?

The JumpStart your Reliability Journey™ workshop is not accredited, however, the Asset Reliability Practitioner certification program will shortly be accredited to IEC/ISO 17024. The program is administered by the Scheme Committee and Technical Committee of the Mobius Institute Board of Certification (MIBoC).  

What is the suggested dress attire?

We recommend that you attend the event in business casual clothing.

How do I make changes or add a special request to my registration?

You can call 239-600-6822 or email JumpStart@mobiusinstitute.com to make updates to your registration (including transfers, cancellations, and dietary requests).

Is parking included at events?

Parking will be available at each event, but fees may vary.

Can I decide on the day of the event that I want to take the ARP exam?

Yes, but we only bring a select number of extra exams to the event, so to guarantee your participation it would be best to sign up in advance. Payment must be successfully made by the end of lunch on the day of the event.

Do I need to do any preparation work before the event?

We recommend that you complete the course materials and videos provided in the distance learning module before attending the event as the sessions will serve as a review of the course and prep for the exam, but completion is not mandatory to attend.  To earn your ARP Advocate Certification, you must successfully pass the exam, complete 16 hours of distance learning and meet the basic experience requirements; six months time spent in industry dealing with maintenance, reliability, engineering, operations, or management.
